The Penticton Vees, Valley First Credit Union, and the Salvation Army Food Bank are teaming up to check hunger on Friday, March 7^th, when the Vees face the West Kelowna Warriors at the SOEC.

It’s Valley First Feed the Valley night, as fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game. Donated items will be given to the Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank. Cash donations are strongly encouraged, as due to the food bank’s 3-to-1 buying power, your $10 cash donation becomes $30 in the hands of the food bank.

“The Vees have been proud to partner with Valley First for the last 14 years for Feed the Valley night. Now, more than ever, food security for families is growing concern in our community. Last year we saw our fans really step up and as we set a record for donations. We need that type of support again to help the growing demand on our local food banks. I know our fans can rally around a great cause,” said Vees Vice President of Business, Fraser Rodgers.

Last year, over 1,600 pounds of food and $3,100 in cash donations was collected to help restock the Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank. The Vees are challenging fans to beat last year’s attendance of 3,060 as well.

Since 2011, nearly 24,600 pounds of food and over $11,000 has been donated at the Penticton Vees’ Feed the Valley sponsored game nights.

• Local Children/Students (18 & under): FREE** (courtesy of Peter’s Bros Construction)
• Non-Local Children/Students (18 & under): $10.00*

** Free entry does not apply to premium seating.

Fan Code of Conduct

Child/Student Entry Policies

• All Children/Students must enter through Gate 1 (main entrance) of the SOEC.

Children/Students in Grades 9 to 12 (and up to 18 years old):

• Must present photo identification (driver’s license, school ID, etc.) to receive a game ticket at the Valley First Box Office and to enter the venue on game night.

Children/Students in Grades 6 to 8:

• Must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian throughout the game
• Must present photo identification (school ID) to receive a game ticket at the Valley First Box Office and to enter the venue on game night.

Children/Students in Grades 5 and Lower:

• Must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian throughout the game.
• Does not require photo identification to enter the venue on game night.
