DESCRIPTION:TEDDY & TOQUE TOSS\nPresented by Bannister Chevrolet Penticton\nThe annual “Teddy & Toque Toss” event hosted by the Penticton Vees is scheduled for Saturday\, December 9th\, against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC)\, presented by Bannister Chevrolet Penticton. \nThis season\, the focus has shifted from stuffed toys to a call for new or gently used winter outerwear (including toques\, gloves\, jackets\, etc.) for all age groups\, as well as new and packaged diapers. While stuffed toys are still appreciated\, the Salvation Army has identified a growing demand for winter outerwear in recent years. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute by tossing their soft donations onto the ice following the Vees’ first goal of the game. \nIn conjunction with the soft goods collection\, the Salvation Army will be accepting food and cash donations at the top of Gate 1 on the main concourse. It is emphasized that food and cash donations should not be thrown onto the ice. \nThe game night sponsor\, Bannister Chevrolet Penticton\, will be on-site with great prizes to be won!
