SUMMARY:Lamb of God with Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity
DESCRIPTION:LAMB OF GOD Announces North American Headline Tour\nwith CLUTCH and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY \npresented by Power 104 \nTHURSDAY JUNE 2\, 2016\nSOUTH OKANAGAN EVENTS CENTRE \nTickets on sale Friday\, February 12 @ 10:00AM \nTickets available in person at the Valley First Box Office (at the SOEC)\nCharge by phone at 1-877-SOEC-TIX (763-2849)*\nOrder online at ValleyFirstTix.com* \nLAMB OF GOD is currently nominated for the Best Metal Performance Grammy Award for their track “512”! This marks the band’s fifth overall Grammy nomination since their inception. “512” is the second single released from the band’s latest full-length album\, VII: Sturm Und Drang\, which scored a #2 first week debut on the Billboard U.S. Top Current Albums chart\, #3 on the Top 200\, and #1 on both the Rock Album and Hard Rock Album charts. Get your copy of VII: Sturm Und Drang here: Lamb-of-God.com | iTunes | Amazon | Google Play \nRichmond\, VA natives LAMB OF GOD originally formed in 1994 as Burn The Priest while in college together at Virginia Commonwealth University\, initially performing in meagre venues and hocking rough demos amongst the local scene. In 1998\, the band changed their moniker to LAMB OF GOD\, which would mark their impending ascension to top-tier status\, as well as one of the only tangible career deviations that the band would ever undertake – having consistently released chart-topper after chart-topper while maintaining a true and constant line-up of members and increasingly growing fanbase; a rarity in modern music. The band’s first major release\, 2000’s New American Gospel\, was immediately touted as an instant metal classic. AllMusic stated it best\, “The essential signatures of post-Pantera metal are in abundance on Lamb of God’s inaugural album. New American Gospel provides a mighty oak upon which gritty American metal’s faith is maintained\, effectively bridging the ’90s’ insistence upon drill-sergeant technicality and the old school’s determined focus on riff construction.” \nIn 2007\, just a short time after putting out monumentally successful releases Ashes of the Wake (Album\, 2004\, #27 of 200 debut)\, Killadelphia (DVD\, 2004\, RIAA Platinum)\, and Sacrament (Album\, 2006\, #8 of 200 debut)\, LAMB OF GOD was honored with a Grammy nomination for the track “Redneck”. This would mark the first of four Grammy nominations for the band. After the release of Walk With Me In Hell (DVD\, 2008)\, the second and third Grammy nominations came in 2010 and 2011 for tracks “Set to Fail” and “In Your Words”\, both cut from Wrath (CD\, 2009\, #2 of 200 debut). The fourth nomination arrived for the band’s track “Ghost Walking”\, cut from their 2012 album Resolution (CD\, #3 of 200 debut). With the release of VII: Sturm Und Drang\, the five-piece have proven their lasting consistency by offering another blistering contribution of the highest quality heavy metal – a record that no one other than LAMB OF GOD could truly execute. \nHaving amassed the globe with countless world tours and millions of albums sold\, all-the-while overcoming countless hurdles ranging from personal demons to vocalist Randy Blythe’s 2013 trial in Prague (which resulted in the acclaimed 2014 full-length feature documentary\, As The Palaces Burn\, and book\, Dark Days: A Memoir\, authored by the frontman and released in July 2015)\, LAMB OF GOD stands the test of time as the biggest\, most influential heavy metal band of the new millennium. \nLAMB OF GOD is Randy Blythe (vocals)\, Mark Morton (guitar)\, Willie Adler (guitar)\, John Campbell (bass)\, and Chris Adler (drums). \nFor more information about LAMB OF GOD\, please visit:www.lamb-of-god.comwww.facebook.com/lambofgodhttps://twitter.com/lambofgodhttp://instagram.com/lambofgod \nCLUTCH:\nRevered Maryland rockers Clutch have been pushing the boundaries that define heavy rock music since the four original members got together in high school. Clutch is an unmatched musical force that has been best described as “the quintessential American Rock Band”. Clutch released their eleventh and latest studio album Psychic Warfare via their own label Weathermaker Music on October 2\, 2015. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 charts at #11\, giving the band their highest chart position to date. \nFor more information about CLUTCH\, please visit:http://www.pro-rock.com/ \nCORROSION OF CONFORMITY:\nC.O.C. emerged from hibernation as a trio and released 2012’s self-titled album and 2014’s IX to wide acclaim\, but many hardcore fans have been eagerly and patiently awaiting the return of Pepper Keenan. The band were originally an influential hardcore punk/heavy metal crossover act before reaching critical success with a then new lineup on 1991’s Blind album. That trajectory continued with wider appeal as Keenan took over as the group’s primary vocalist on Deliverance (1994) and Wiseblood (1996). These two recordings in particular fused the raw energy of their previous albums\, with some great strides forward in classic rock inspired songwriting and more spacious production and execution. Since then the band has often been copied but rarely equaled. This juggernaut gained mass and momentum with relentless touring alongside such greats Metallica\, Clutch\, Eyehategod and many more. Eventually\, following the release of In the Arms of God in 2005\, Keenan decided to focus all his energy on his hometown band DOWN… until now. \nFor more information about CORROSION OF CONFORMITY\, please visit:https://www.facebook.com/corrosionofconformity

Some people think huge. And then there’s Meat Loaf. For the past 40 years\, he has been a towering monument on the musical landscape. SUMMARY:Spend the Night with Alice Cooper
DESCRIPTION:Alice Cooper brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new\, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock\, he has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo\, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn. \nAs he heads back out on the concert trail each year\, Cooper insists he’s still motivated to continue touring and recording albums\, as well as making time for such side projects as Cooper’stown (his Phoenix-based restaurant/sports bar) and his “Nights With Alice Cooper” radio show\, syndicated worldwide on over 100 stations\, including Kelowna’s Power 104. \nCooper was born in Detroit Michigan\, and moved to Phoenix with his family. The Alice Cooper band formed while they were all in high school in Phoenix\, and was discovered in 1969 by Frank Zappa in Los Angeles\, where he signed them to his record label. Their collaboration with young record producer Bob Ezrin led to the break-through third album “Love It to Death” which hit the charts in 1971\, followed by “Killer\,” “School’s Out\,” ”Billion Dollar Babies\,” and “Muscle of Love.” Each new album release was accompanied by a bigger and more elaborate touring stage show. \nThe next few years brought “Greatest Hits” and his first solo album\, “Welcome to My Nightmare”\, accompanied by the legendary ground-breaking theatrical Welcome to My Nightmare concert tour. In the ‘80’s Cooper explored different sounds\, highlighted by the new wavish album “Flush The Fashion\,” the heavy metal “Constrictor” and “Raise Your Fist And Yell\,” and then 1989’s melodic hard rock album “Trash\,” which featured the massive hit single “Poison” and became his biggest selling album and single worldwide. \nThrough the 90’s and into the new millennium\, Cooper has been very productive and busy writing recording and releasing albums. Cooper has been touring consistently\, year in and year out\, averaging over 80 concerts annually\, with his band which features the three guitar attack of guitarists\, Ryan Roxie\, Nita Strauss\, and Tommy Henriksen\, plus the rhythm section of drummer Glen Sobel and longtime bassist Chuck Garric. \nWith his influence on rock and roll long since acknowledged\, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn’t achieved in his remarkable career\, including platinum albums\, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.
